To provide a prestigious and cutting edge dance education in a positive yet challenging environment. Storm Dance Alliance promotes excellent values, family involvement and encourages all dancers to seek a healthy well-rounded lifestyle.
Brook and Tim Langkan opened Storm Dance Alliance in 2003 and for 17 years, Storm has dominated the dance community and become one of the western suburb's elite dance centers.
Brook Langkan, a lifelong dancer, has worked tirelessly to assemble a team of award winning choreographers and industry leading instructors to teach and nurture young talent and turn children into stars. Tim Langkan, a member of the National Guard and a business expert, works behind the scenes and has created an operation that provides students with opportunities that you will not find at any other studio.
With Brook's creativity and Tim's unrelenting drive, this duo has created the model for a successful dance studio and provided a wonderful environment that breeds both the talent and confidence every young student needs. Their hard work and dedication was awarded in 2010 when Storm won the Federation of Dance Competition's Studio Excellence Award and also in 2011 where Storm finished in the top 25 studios in the Midwest, bringing home 7 national championships.
While most studios have small rosters, Storm Dance Alliance maintains 4 company teams, as well as a Poms competition squad, but you would never know that due to Storm's warm, family feeling. Storm has become a second home for their students, creating relationships and bonds thru dance and teamwork that will last a lifetime.
And if the 3 full sessions of instructional dance classes and the traveling competition teams weren't enough, Storm will be putting on its 10th annual holiday production of The Nutcracker. For 12 years, Brook and her team have been captivating audiences with this family tradition, utilizing the talents of Storm dancers and local children to help deliver the season's most heartwarming rendition of the classic story. Storm also offers an arts program, which will be presenting an annual spring musical. This program gives Storm the opportunity to share their knowledge and teach children the fine arts of acting, singing, and dance.
